Copied and pasted from another thread I posted builds in, with a few tweaks!
21 Arcane/30 Fire:
http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/t...000000000000000
This build provides very nice damage with fire with the option for a bit of burst with PoM+Pyro (or a bit of survivability with PoM+Poly, or some extra AOE with PoM+Flamestrike) and Improved Counterspell is very nice for fighting enemy casters.
A different 21 Arcane/30 Fire:
http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/t...000000000000000
The fire points in here are focused around scorch rather than fireball (for scorch spamming). The advantages of scorch over fireball are the shorter cast times (obviously) and they don't leave a trail, so if someone doesn't know where you are there it'll take them a little bit more time to find you.
Elemental build 1
http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/t...150203122051300
Here you use mainly frostbolts for damage, with scorch and fireblast as "fillers". This build is brilliant for AOE as you have Shatter, BlastWave and Improved Cone of Cold. The amount of damage you can do with FrostNova -> Cone of Cold -> BlastWave -> ColdSnap -> FrostNova -> Cone of Cold is amazing if you can get it all off. You also have Ice Block as a panic button and a few point in Improved Blizzard, which are both extremely useful.
Elemental build 2
http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/t...202200130051000
This build is for doing main damage with fire, while using frost as utility (kiting with frostbolts and/or Improved Blizzard and extra survivability with Ice Block). It also allows you the great AOE damage of Shatter+BlastWave.
Elemental build 3
http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/t...153203102051301
Frost all the way up to Ice Barrier. Frostbolts are your main source of damage, with fireblast and scorch as fillers. Because you're not going for BlastWave and don't have PoM, I don't really see the point of getting Pyroblast here. The frost talents are a bit open to be jiggled around - I've left out Winter's Chill and Improved Blizzard for example and you may want to take them (perhaps taking Incinerate and Improved FireBlast out of the fire tree or something, for a more heavy frost build).
34 Frost/17 Arcane
http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/t...053203102051331
Designed around getting Ice Barrier in the Frost tree and Improved Counterspell in the Arcane tree. As with the last Ice Barrier build, the frost talents can be moved around to get the ones you want.
21 Arcane/30 Frost
http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/t...053203102051300
Similar to the last build, but all the way up to PoM in the Arcane Tree. Even without Pyroblast for maximum burst damage with PoM, this is still a very good build.
Arcane Power + Fire build
http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/t...000000000000000
I don't really see the point of Arcane Power with Frost, so this is the only build I'll put with this in. The fire talents here are focused around fireball, but you can jiggle them around for a scorch spamming build instead.

Well there's a load of builds there to look at. You will probably notice some abilities I take in a lot of builds and some abilities I leave out of all builds (such as Combustion). These are really just personal choices so I'll put down what I think are the most important parts of each tree.
Arcane - Improved Counterspell, Presence of Mind, Arcane Power Fire - Impact, Ignite, Flame Throwing, Burning Soul, BlastWave, Combustion Frost - Cold Snap, Shatter, IceBlock, Ice Barrier
I have a problem with frost builds in that there are too many talents to take - you have to take a lot of talents to get decent enough damage and then there are the survivability talents on top of that. This makes it very tempting to shove a lot of points into this tree (and a full frost build is viable if you want to go down that path), but be careful not to cut yourself off from other useful abilities and recognise the need for some extra burst damage whether it comes in the form of scorch and fireblast or PoM.

That's pretty interesting... I think it would be fun to make a build topic or so, since I think it could be fun to know how everyone builds their characters. (And because my warlock spec is like "a few points here and a few points there *crosses fingers for luck*")

Thank you a lot dear Fizzlemeister, this will surely help me ( Shalany ) a lot. We'll see how it all works out, but definitely this info is very useful for me. Thanks once more and see you all *bows and smiles*. |
