I don't know how it works for you Erebur, but for me its like this: My mind tends to make graphical images of the words (and pretty much everything) and also make shortcuts via them to move forward faster. Some say i'm visually talented, apparently it seems to be my curse too in this matter. My mind molds everything to images and even moreso assosiates things with anothers with fast speed and thus makes shortcuts all the time. Like putting up a puzzle in fast forward without looking into the initial pieces at all, but the wider picture being build in process, like i'd already know what it is going to look like and what million variations i can twist it into. That's the best i can explain it...*shrug*
It sometimes takes a huge effort to write things right, i can even read and write english text better than many other people. Nonetheless I really have moments every now and then when i must seriously concentrate to read some word as it is and not as i see it, if that makes any sense. Sometimes i can write the same word twice, repeadedly to correct something and not even notice it's there twice, or miss a word and still see it being there as a complite sentance. the sentance looks just fine to me, unless i stare it for a while or two.

mmm yeah almost the same... only i can see my mistake only when some els point my mind let me think there good... and if i start to think how to type a word i am lost then all leterst start to mix
 but i also read what i think i am goin to read whit other text, well i only read the frist and the last letther and make a word of it the most of the time... and that ends sometimes in my own words
