I am about to get myself a computer. But there is a problem: Laptop or a table computer?!
I have been asking around and it seems some people really liek laptops as other computers so I do not have anyidea wich one should I get! What do you think? The computer would be for playing use mostly since I am a game-nerd =^.^= |

Well, there are many schools of thought about this dilemma. Here is one of them, but none are "right" or "wrong" in themselves...
I believe a laptop should be as light and portable as possible. However, most laptops are sorely lacking in the GPU (graphics) department. If you get a laptop powerful enough for playing the newest games, it will be 1) very expensive and 2) awfully heavy and clumsy. (edit: and 3: it might be quite noisy too, when the cooling kicks in)
For a non-gamer, there aren't many reasons to choose anything but a laptop.
For a gamer, I believe it's best to get a nice, portable laptop for work and light gaming at most, and keep a powerhouse PC unit at home for the best gaming experience. (You can build a powerful PC that's still silent, if the noise bothers you - and while you can sink quite a few euros or dollars into a PC, getting the same performance on a laptop would cost even more, if it's even possible.)
Just an opinion
oh, and edit 2: if you're not too obsessed with always having graphic settings turned to maximum and getting solid framerates, you might be less concerned with this issue - just find the right mix between portability, performance and price in the laptop of your choice. People weigh these factors very individually.
