Well, I got the urge to redesign khazmodan.net... The template system I'm using is not flexible enough and I hate the current raffle page... And the content management has to be dynamic as well. Also I like alternative art options, so the new version will have custom user-selected themes.
Putting all that into the current website code is too much to handle, so everything has to be written from scratch. Well, not everything, but a lot of stuff. Here's a quick peek at the first concept of what I'm going to do.

It's a very rough draft, so don't judge it too heavily yet. Also, sorry, it doesn't work with internet explorer yet (but then again, neither does the current khazmodan.net). Don't worry, I'll do my best to make it explorer-friendly because I know it's a very heavily used browser.
Officers can watch how the site is evolving at khazmodan.net/minisite/.
I hope to finish this by the end of the year, if my inspiration keeps up |

Yeah, Stonetalon is out of place here theme-wise. But I just liked the atmosphere and saw how well it would work as background art.
However I'll make it possible to view the site in different "skins", and make the default one a nice wintery view of Dun Morogh or something like that
Thanks for the comments, though it's pretty early in the works... The only issue which I think may cause trouble is how to fit longer paragraphs of text into the window. Scrollbars are ugly and mess with the element positioning... Such texts will probably be divided into several pages. Don't know yet. |

I just notist that the text "khaz modan alliance" is not a part of the background image, and why?

Well, it's better if it's not part of the image. It's easy to change it, move it, and such.
And if I can still make it look stylish enough so it looks like it is part of the image... Well that's what I was going for |

The content will be about the same as it is now, so this is really mostly a technical/outlook change. As I mentioned in the first post, the biggest changes I'm considering will be user-selected artwork and "dynamic content management", which means in English that officers will be able to edit and add new pages into the site. However I haven't decided on specifics yet, and I'll have to weigh the usefulness of that feature against the work it takes to complete it.
So, in a nutshell, I'm bored at work since business is slow and I want to make the site prettier
EDIT:
Two new screenshots
