Ok, I've put in a raffle page *grins* Let's test it out, shall we? Everybody go and join the prize draw for 2,5 gold! When you click "join", you will roll between 1-100 and the highest roller will get the prize once the timer runs out. (You won't see your roll until the end of the draw and you can only enter once per draw so no re-rolls are possible).
This prize is not much for our more seasoned members, but let's consider this a test for now, yes? On wednesday the winner will be revealed (an hour before the racing event).
Good luck, everyone! |

Not being able to see your rolls and that of the others takes the thrill out of it somewhat... Would also be fun if you had to pay to enter though impossible to realize through this site.

Well, I think I could change it so you see your roll but not anybody else's...
Oh, and it would be possible to make it pay-per-entry in one way: A virtual gold balance on the website. Like you can enter once, but then you would have -10 silver and had to send in-game coins to me or someone to restore your balance. And you couldn't join again until you had at least 0 balance.
Oh, and I noticed a nasty bug just now - these comments are going to the news page Gonna fix that soon... |

I admire your diligence and efforts! It's inspiring to see.
So, why shouldn't you be allowed to see the rolls of other people? I got 75 btw, pretty decent ain't it =)

Hehe... A 94 is getting pretty hard to beat, but there's still time for someone to top it!
And, well, about showing rolls... You did note that they are shown - but only once the draw ends? I thought it would be nice to keep a little shroud of mystery around the draw with regards to how many people have joined and what they have rolled. You know, to keep more incentive for people to join even late in the draw. After all, what would be the point in entering if you knew somebody had already rolled 100? This way there is an element of surprise about the raffle right up to the ending. You may roll low, but you still have a slim chance that everyone else rolled even lower - but you'll just have to wait and see...
(Edit: Of course this was just my initial idea. Since I made this system for you folks, it's only fair you have a say in how it works - so if you think of any improvements, just post away and we'll see what we can do about them )

I belive you are referring to the "casino rule", Chanel.
It does not apply here, because none of you have to pay anything to enter this draw.
So nothing to worry about, we aren't violating any policies!
For your reference, the official Scam Policy is here: http://www.wow-europe.com/en/policy/scam.html

The prize draw page? On our site, of course! Just click the "back to khazmodan.net" link near the top of the forum. |
