Yesterday I went into the depths of Uldaman for the first time (OOC: with this char that is)..
it was quite an experience..

I begun my travels to the Badlands, to search for a group to enter that horried place, since I had been given some quests to do in there.. just as I arrived, a paladin, a priest and a warlock were already waiting outside. They greeted me and asked if I had intentions of going in and if I had a group with me. I answered that I was actually searching for someone to enter with. They were kind enough to invite me in their adventure and told me of another quest to do, while we were there already.
Another priest joined us a little later.. I dont think I've had the pleasure of grouping with 2 priests in such a small group before, but it didnt last long, as I'll explain in a little while.
We descended in the depths, slaying the evil dwarfs in our way and releaved them of the power stones the goblin wanted, whom I was doing the quest for. So far it was going smoothly.. I succeeded in holding the dwarves away from the dwarf priest and gnome warlock. The paladin was swinging wildly with a giant redglowing axe.
After a few minutes we stood at the very entrance to the inner Uldaman. A wide open door let us into the adventure. We ran in and looked around to make a headcount.. one of the priests were missing.. he just dissappeared and was nowhere to be found..
We continued on, since there was nothing to be done about it, hoping he would return later.
Vile troggs were all over the place, so we begun clearing the tunnels and halls of these horried creatures.. it was hard just breathing in there, because of the smell of those creatures. They were cowards and kept running away to alert their friends, so we were in constant battle.
Taking a freshly digged tunnel we suddently met up with 3 dwarves. They told us about a way to open a door to a hidden room.. they also warned us about the being that guarded it.
We left the dwarves with the promise of returning another time with some ale and started to search for a particular big trogg that should hold a part of a staff we needed.
We headed back through the tunnel and into the halls again to continue and there was the nasty trogg, just around the corner.. together with a few others.. The fight didnt last long and we got the staff piece.
Before us, was a huge room.. in the distance we could see the giant door. No door handles or anything else was visible and the surface looked very smooth and hard. In the center of the room was what looked like a small model of a city with something strange in the middle. On closer examination, we learned that the staff could just fit down the thing.
Before we got to the model of the city, we were suddently jumped by lots of smelly troggs. I let out a warcry to challenge them and they all turned to face me. I put down my shield and put all my strength in holding it to reflect their blows, while the others took them down one by one.
We proceded in removing the trogg pests from the room, so we could concentrate on the city model and using the staff to open the door.
When we were ready, we placed the staff in the slot of the thing.. at first nothing seemed to happen.. but then light started to flow to it and it sent out a burst of concentrated light directly at the giant doors.. light started to show around the door and we saw it slowly cracked open..
To our dismay, the room behind the door wasnt empty... a very large giant stepped out and yelled something to us.. we looked at eachother.. looked at the giant.. and charged in.. the bigger they are, the harder they fall..
After a longer battle, where I had been flying through the room a couple of times, the giant finally fell, and we could explore the hidden room with no casualties.

We saw a small tunnel leading further down to the right of the door and we talked about moving on. We had heard that it was dangerous down there and not many had been going there and lived to tell about it.
Being gnomes and dwarves, we desided to let the curiousity win and we went in to explore.
We hadnt gone far in, before a throng of scorpions came out and attacked us.. a huge flying buzzard-like creature joined in.. it was a bloody fight, but we succeeded in slaying them all.. maybe it was the first warning..
We desided to keep moving on.. more scorpions, buzzard-creatures and bazilisks were slain on our way through the dark tunnels.. on the way we met a strange human, whom had been hiding from the scorpions.. what a strange place to wander alone..
After slaying lots of the beasts, the tunnel started to look more like halls again.. and we suddently faced the dark dwarves again.. this time they were accompanied by stone-beings. We tore through the first wave of them, but at the second wave, we started to loose ground.. I saw the priest go down.. then the warlock.. and finally the paladin .. only one of the dark dwarves was left.. in a bloodrage to avenge my newly found friends I went for him.. slaying him..
I failed to protect them .. it was supposed to be me, not them, to go down first..
I took a final look into the large hall we had entered.. and started to head back.. carefully avoiding any creatures, we hadnt killed, on my way.. I carried the bodies of my fallen friends to the entrance, were I met some night elves. They helped me bring them back to life..
The paladin left us fast, but the priest and warlock stayed to fight our way out of the place. We saluted the night elves and hurried out to get some fresh air.

(OOC:
it was a nice pickup group.. just the paladin was a tad anoying.. he refused to heal, even when the priest was out of mana and behaved rather badly.. he kept switching targets, so I had a hard time to getting aggro from the monsters.. not using a shield, his armor was lower than mine..
The priest did a great job healing.. he spend a lot of mana to shield the paladin though..
the warlock did fine.. didnt do that much, but didnt do anything stupid as well.. he could have used curse of recklesness on the fleeing monsters, but even I forgot about that spell, when down there.. (I have a lvl 60 warlock.. hehe.. so I should have thought of it)
I continue to have bad experiences with paladins.. I've met a few nice ones, but the majority of them are egomaniacs.. they dont wait till the priest get mana back.. they charge in, and when in trouble, they use the bubbleshield to save themselves.. and then wonder why the clothusers are dying.. and when things are hard, they just heartstone out and leave the party.. )

Whoa! Nice trip you had there!
I have noticed too that paladins are sometimes pretty rude and selfish people.
Thehe we should soon open "Storys and Tales" topic in this forum when this forum get bit more busy

Making a story about your character in RP-server is important if you aks me.
I have made a story about Chii.. It's a bit sad though...
