The old gnome sits in his chair with a book lying on his lap. He grabs a feather and dips it in a bottle of ink. With the feather in his right hand, slightly shaking he starts to write:
"Dear fellow members of the Khaz Modan Alliance. For those who know me it is time to know the truth about me. Something about my past. In past time there was an organisation which went by the name of the council of the eye. It has existed for centuries. This organisation monitered the guilds, factions and other organisations. The Council's member conisted of night elves, elves, humans dwarves, gnomes and for a while even orcs. All belonged in other guilds, but secretly were members of the Council. Monitoring and guiding the guilds into certain directions. This way almost 3 wars were prevented in the last century only. I have been a member of the Council for almost 150 years. But the last war has caused an enourmous scar to the council. The one known to most as the prophet betrayed us, and we could no longer remain hidden. We had to fight both the burning legion and the scourge but we could not win. The council decided to go into exile and one day return when the time was ripe. That day has come. I am rallying all those who used to be part of the Council of the Eye, and forging ourselves into the Council of Elders. This does not mean I shall leave the alliance, but I shall represent it for the council. The new council shall unite the guilds, and guide them into war against the horde."
